EF0 tornado causes minimal damage in Bamberg |

BAMBERG, S.C. (WRDW) — The National Weather Service confirms an EF0 tornado swept through Bamberg, causing minimal damage.

Experts say the funnel went through the town around 8:45 p.m. Friday night.

Damage was not extensive, but it did snap off trees on Turkey Cut Road southeast of Bamberg. Other scattered trees and branches were reported along Hwy 362 on rural roads.
